My name is Amy and for as long as I can remember I have been fascinated with food. I love playing with it, studying it and of course, eating it! I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for two years as a Food Science major until I realized I wanted to work with people as well as with food. Knowing this, I transferred to Chico State University where I majored in both Food Service Administration and General Dietetics. I have been very fortunate to have acquired a variety of work and volunteer experiences that have exposed me to the clinical, management and community side of nutrition. I even participated in the West Coast Nutrition Bowl where our team came in 4th place (bottom picture). It was a great team building activity and I even got to meet the former president of the ADA, Martin Yadrick. I absolutely love nutrition and want to help people through the knowledge I possess. I want to make a difference and I know I can though my dedication, passion and love for the dietetics profession. |
