Assignment title: ADIME
What I learned: The individual components that fall under the categories of assessment, diagnosis, intervention and monitoring/evaluation. I also learned the importance of keeping an ADIME note as short and concise as possible while providing all necessary and relevant information.
Reflection to assignment: Became comfortable writing an ADIME note and coming up with specific outcome and action oriented goals for my patient. I also utilized my knowledge of writing a PES statement to come up with an appropriate diagnosis as well as using the specified terminology to determine the intervention.
Relevance to the profession: Whether in a counseling session or in a hospital setting, being able to write an ADIME note is essential to the dietetics profession. Feeling comfortable creating a PES statement, an intervention and individualized goals for the patient or client is imperative in order to be an effective dietitian.
