What I learned: To assess the interests of the target population during my internship and develop nutrition education material that will be utilized by the seniors at Passages.
Reflection to assignment: I researched beyond this assignment to discover more methods in order to make printed material more senior friendly. I applied many of these concepts to my educational material.
Relevance to the profession: Nutrition education needs to be read and easy to understand in order to be effective. One must be conscious of the appearance of the printed materials if they are to be read and filled out. It is important to assess what information the target population wants to know and make that information as interactive and interesting as possible.
