Assignment title: Theory Based Nutrition Intervention and Education

What I learned: To assess the needs of a target audience and design nutrition education based on theory in order to disseminate the most amount of information in the most concise manner possible.

Reflection to assignment: Knowing the target audience and what they are interested in learning about will narrow the nutrition education to material that they will possibly utilize in the near future.  By using theory, one is able to effectively teach to the exact stage of change the audience is ready to accept.

Relevance to the profession: Nutrition education is essential in all aspects of the field. By understanding which stage of change the audience is in, one can create an education plan that will be effective in obtaining the desired results.
