Assignment title: Renal Diet and Kidney Disease

 

What I learned: The creation of an in-service is a necessary in order to convey important information in an easy to understand and entertaining way.  I have made it my goal to take the assigned subject and create Powerpoint slides that are teachable, entertaining and memorable.

 

Reflection to assignment: With this assignment, my partner and I tried to keep the text per slide to a minimum and include as many pictures as possible.  We were trying to explain a complex subject to a group of people unfamiliar with the renal diet and kidney disease so we tried to make it as simple, informative, and entertaining as possible.

 

Relevance to the profession: Powerpoint presentations are essential to the nutrition professional as it is an effective way to streamline the teaching process. I have created and presented Powerpoint presentations in multiple college classes and know that it is an effective learning tool that all dietetic professionals should be able to utilize.
