What I learned: As in all display ads, it’s important to have all the necessary information in order to inform, but it must be designed in such a manner that the public will not be overwhelmed and pass it by. It must be attractive and possess some aspect that makes people want to stop and study the display.

Reflection to assignment: I enjoyed learning another aspect of Microsoft Powerpoint and presenting my display to the public.  I realized how simple and enjoyable designing a poster could be.

Relevance to the profession: Display posters are very important in regards to educating people about nutrition facts. They are used in multiple nutrition forums such as nutrition fairs, community nutrition events and school foodservice.  Being able to effectively display a message in an attractive and eye catching manner is a very important skill to possess.
